1. Braid Weaving
We use eight spindles on two tracks to carry out braid weaving. There are no cores in the corners or the middle, and the cross-section of the woven product is square.
Characteristics: The packing is loose. It helps reduce shaft vibration and eccentricity. It is only used for small cross-section packing. When the cross-sectional size is large, the packing surface pattern becomes rough. The structure turns loose, and the density is poor.
2. Layered Weaving
We use 8, 12, 16, 24, 36, 48, 60, etc. spindles to carry out layered weaving on two tracks. The packing specification sets the number of layers. Weavers usually create 1 to 4 layers. There is no core in the middle.
Layered packing has good density and strong sealing performance. But the layered structure has no fibers connecting the layers. So, it is prone to delamination. It is mostly used for static sealing or low-speed equipment.
