G-PTFE Packing with Aramid Corners: It is multi-yarn packing. The corners are aramid yarns, impregnated with PTFE. The friction faces are G-PTFE yarns. This structure boosts the lubrication of aramid fiber. It also improves the strength of pure PTFE. It has excellent sliding velocity and thermal conductivity.

Black Graphite PTFE Gland Packing with Aramid Corners
Application: It combines aramid fibers’ strength with graphited PTFE’s low-friction, heat-dissipating traits. Used in reciprocating pumps, mixers, reactors, and valves in the petrochemical, paper, and sugar industries, and power stations.
Size:
From 6 x 6 mm to 50 x 50 mm.
Packing:
In coils of 5 to 10 kg; other weights upon request.
It has mechanical strength and a slippery surface. This gives a long-lasting, high-performance, universal packing. It is for use in all rotary, reciprocating, and static gland applications. It combines the benefits of two outstanding gland packing fibers. They have remarkable properties.
G-PTFE has the best combination of features of any packing fiber. But it may extrude or deteriorate under high mechanical loads. The addition of aramid adds steel-like strength. It is square inter-braided to add the strength of aramid where it is most needed on the corner posts. Workers braid aramid fibers with special care from the core to the corner posts. This gives them dimensional stability and resists extrusion.
They braid the G-PTFE yarns to the packing surfaces. This improves their smoothness and sealing. The packing is for long life in high-pressure, heavy-load conditions. It works best on worn or loose-tolerance equipment in harsh chemicals. G-PTFE on the sealing faces eliminates shaft wear. It can now handle high speeds and aggressive chemicals. Extrusion and gland maintenance are negligible, even in the toughest applications. This is due to the interlocked braiding of aramid fibers.
